If you're familiar with Pitlochry and Perthshire, you'll know that there is always lots of things to do at any time of the year, and each season creates its own unique blend of charm and atmosphere in Pitlochry and the surrounding countryside. Summer sees vibrant flower displays and hustle and bustle on Pitlochry's streets, and a wealth of activities and events for the whole family, and is generally a time for fun, frivolity and relaxation.In case you didn't know, 2010 is ABBA's 40th anniversary, and the best-selling musical show will be coming to Pitlochry Festival Theatre on Sunday 20th June. Also at the theatre, on 4th July, Donnie Munro and band will be energising the audience with their 'Gael-rock' - this promises to be a night to remember.
There are lots of activities based at Killiecrankie Visitor Centre this summer, including 'woodland safari' and 'rock detectives', both of which encourage children to explore nature, and a commemoration of the battle of Killiecrankie. All these events recur regularly throughout July and August.
