Pitlochry Hotels - Ideally Situated for Activity Breaks

Whether you're a fair-weather rambler, a keen hillwalker, or an adrenalin-seeking extreme pursuits enthusiast, Pitlochry and the surrounding area offer a perfect location. Our winter mid-week breaks offer you the opportunity to get away from it all and still have the comfort of luxury Pitlochry accommodation at Knockendarroch House, at the end of an active day.

You'll find something for everyone, from gentle strolls along the river to view the salmon dam and ladder, to strenuous hill-walking, white-water rafting, or abseiling. There are some beautiful hills in the surrounding area to enjoy the views from.
One of the best-loved mountains is Schiehallion, an iconic conical shape standing isolated so you can see it for miles around. The name translates to The Fairy Hill of the Caledonians, which sounds almost as beautiful as the gaelic name.

For stunning scenery and a glimpse into Scotland's turbulent history, visit the Pass of Killiecrankie, which has some lovely walks through the glen, reputedly haunted!
Queen's View, a few miles away, will take your breath away with one of the most famous views in Scotland, across Loch Tummel to Schiehallion. It is thought to commemorate Queen Isabella, wife of Robert the Bruce who ruled Scotland between 1306 and 1329, and not Queen Victoria as generally believed.

We look forward to seeing you,

Pitlochry Accommodation in Full Snowdrop Season

If you enjoy getting away from the crowds, it's a lovely time of year to visit Pitlochry. We've enjoyed some spectacularly clear days, and the snowdrops are out in droves.

Take advantage of our winter mid-week break deal to enjoy some of the beautiful walks around Pitlochry. Blair Castle is open to visitors on Tuesdays and Saturdays, so have a stroll around the grounds to view the snowdrops in full bloom.
Indoors, the castle's entrance hall, Banvie Hall and restaurant will be filled with bowls of scented daffodils, hyacinths and tulips. What better to get you in the mood for spring!

Best wishes, Liz
